The Learning to Flourish Network is the shared architecture that turns the field's fragmented efforts for the future of learning into systems change.

For decades we’ve built the pieces of the future of learning: new models, new measures, new policies. But the pieces don’t move the system unless they move together. The Learning to Flourish Network is the architecture that lets us move forward together.

Why Now

America Is at a Crossroads in Education

We hold the crown for AI creation, and we are still catching up on AI application in learning. Young people are leaving K-12 uninspired and underprepared for life, work, and democracy in the Age of AI, and the numbers have been telling us so for several years.

Largest on record

The gap between the lowest and highest performing students

NAEP, 2024

CDC, 2023

Building What Comes Next

Reform has carried the industrial era system a long way, and the moment we are in asks us to build the model that comes after it. The three horizons framework maps that path. The first horizon is the traditional system that is declining. The second horizon is efficiency reform, which matters and still works within the shape of the old model. The third horizon, the one this network is building toward, is a rearchitected, learner-centered ecosystem that inspires and prepares every young person to flourish in life, careers, and democracy.

A Network of Networks for the Future of Learning

The field is full of organizations already building pieces of the future, and much of that work is splintered, under-resourced, and missing the shared infrastructure that would let it add up. The Learning to Flourish Network is the connective tissue. LearnerStudio convenes it, weaves it, and works alongside the field on the hardest questions, while the field itself builds the answers lever by lever.

Align the Field

Move splintered efforts into alignment so every H3 bound project compounds progress.

Accelerate the key levers

De-silo the critical levers where a networked approach produces clarity and scale.

Grow the Backbone

Build public awareness, policy infrastructure, and resourcing.

Ten Levers. One Direction.

Transforming public education requires progress across an interconnected set of challenges. LFN organizes that work across 10 Action Levers: building demand for a new system, expanding the supply of future-ready learning, and creating the conditions that allow those models to grow and endure.

The levers will not all move at the same pace. Each advances as the people, evidence, resources, and conditions needed to move the work forward come into place.

H3 DEMAND: Empowering learners and families

Narrative & Mobilization

Builds public understanding and demand so families and communities help shape a better learning ecosystem.

H3 SUPPLY: Creating H3 learning for young people

Models

Makes diverse, high-quality H3 learning experiences visible, buildable, and adoptable, from a single classroom to an entire district.

Modernizing the “What”

Defines a shared, evolving picture of the knowledge and capabilities young people need to flourish in the Age of AI.

Learning Workforce

Broadens and equips the people who help young people learn and flourish, including teachers, mentors, employers, and families.

H3 ENABLERS: Laying the tracks for accessible, high-quality H3

Measurement

Builds a modern, trustworthy measurement system, for learners, models, and the network, so the field can prove what’s working.

Public Policy & Systems Architecture

Builds the policy stack, playbooks, and champions that make flourishing-centered education the default, not the exception.

Research & Development

Rebuilds education’s R&D system so evidence from real learning environments reaches practice faster and keeps pace with change.

Digital Infrastructure

Architects open, public-purpose digital infrastructure, including identity, data, and credentials, so technology serves learners, not lock-in.

Pathways to Purpose

Helps young people navigate a fluid network of learning and life pathways toward mobility, agency, resilience, and purpose.

Systems Transformation

Builds the examples, on-ramps, and leadership capacity that help institutions evolve toward flourishing.

How the Work Happens

Each lever brings together the people and organizations best positioned to move the work.

Anchor Groups

Help guide each lever’s direction and maintain momentum.

Working Members

Actively contribute to specific priority areas and workstreams.

Lever Partners

Connect existing networks and efforts to the work — creating a two-way relationship in which LFN amplifies what is already happening and partners carry the work back into their own communities and networks.

Participation is open and dynamic, changing as the work evolves. Each lever advances through defined phases as its vision, leadership, evidence, participation, and infrastructure become strong enough to support the next stage.

The goal is not for LearnerStudio to permanently own the work. The goal is for the field to carry it forward.

What It Means to Join

What LFN Does for Your Work

Connection

LFN connects your work and mission to everyone else pushing in the same direction, so we can work better together and multiply our impact.

Shared Progress

Our members build the future together and carry shared ideas and progress back to their organizations for continued action.

Momentum

Together, we are moving future-ready learning from the edges to the mainstream.

When You Join, You Commit To

The Goal

Young people’s flourishing is the measure of success.

Working Toward Shared Solutions

You don’t need to arrive with the answer. You commit to finding solutions.

Bringing Your Perspective

You don’t check your views at the door. Your expertise, and your disagreements, make the work stronger.

Accelerating Together

We build on each other’s work instead of duplicating it, and we give credit where it’s due.

How We Treat Each Other

Our Community Commitments guide how we show up: candor with care, focus on the work, and shared stewardship of the network.

Find Your Place in the Network

There is a place in this work for anyone who wants public education to inspire and prepare young people to flourish.
How you participate can evolve as your interests, work, and capacity change.

Stay Informed

Follow the work and receive updates as levers launch and evolve.

Stay Connected

Connect an organization or network already working in this territory and create a two-way channel for learning, amplification, and collaboration.

Join the Work

Contribute directly to a lever’s workstreams and priority action areas.

Anchor the Work

Help guide a lever’s direction, steward its priorities, and build momentum around the work.

Who Is Already In

The network is convened by LearnerStudio and guided by an inaugural Advisory Council drawn from across the field.

An Invitation to Build

The forces of AI disruption, public dissatisfaction, and the youth mental health crisis are converging, and that convergence carries both urgency and opportunity. American education is going to change. The question in front of us is whether we shape that change intentionally, toward human flourishing. Tell us where you want to build, and we will connect you to the lever where your work fits.

A member of the LearnerStudio team will follow up within two weeks with next steps.
